Newcomers to the Hobby

If you're considering getting into the hobby, you've undoubtedly got a lot of questions. With the advent of the internet, message boards and such have become an invaluable tool for learning about the hobby. The problem is however, that message boards can become quite confusing for a beginner. For this reason, we've compiled a section that will answer all of your basic questions, as well as provide you with a step-by-step beginners guide. Just read the articles in the order they are posted and most, if not all, of your questions will be answered. For more in-depth reading, visit our Resources page. If you still need help, please feel free to visit the Instructors page and email one of our club instructors. We will be glad to help you any way we can.

****SPECIAL NOTE FOR BEGINNERS TO THE HOBBY****
From March through October the Propbusters hosts a "training day" on the second Saturday of each month from 9AM until 12 noon. During these times, weather permitting, a club instructor and a club loaner airplane will be available for newcomers to try free of charge. That's right, you can try your hand at flying RC without ever having to pay a dime! If you already have an airplane, contact an instructor Here and you can meet up to fly at any time.
