Club Fields and Other Locations

Bragg Field

The flying field is located 1.5 miles north of Hwy 64, on Inglewood Place. The road name changed some time ago, but many map services still show Inglewood Place as Airline Road. If you reach Airline Road and Hwy 64, you need to go one stop light West on 64 and take a right onto Inglewood Place.

From Memphis/ 240 Loop: Take I-40 East towards Nashville and take Exit 18 to turn right on Hwy 64 towards Somerville. The next red light after Houston Levee is called Inglewood Place to the left, and Reed Hooker to the right. Take a left onto Inglewood, and the field is 1.5 miles on your right.

From I-40 East of Memphis: Follow I-40 until you reach exit 24A I-269/HWY 385. Take that exit to go Left/South on I-269/HWY 385. Take the first exit (Donelson Farms) for Inglewood Place. Take a left onto Inglewood Place from the offramp, and the field will be 1.1 miles on your left.

From Cordova: Take Germantown Parkway North to Hwy 64/Stage Road and turn right towards Somerville. The next red light after Houston Levee is called Inglewood Place to the left, and Reed Hooker to the right. Take a left onto Inglewood, and the field is 1.5 miles on your right.

From Collierville: Take Houston Levee Road North to Hwy 64. Turn right onto Hwy 64. Your next stoplight is called Inglewood Place to the left, and Reed Hooker to the right. Take a left onto Inglewood, and the field will be 1.5 miles on your right.

Trap Lake

The Memphis Prop Busters also has a float-fly location in Shelby Farms. We fly off of Trap Lake on the south side of the intersection of Walnut Grove Rd and Farm Rd. Float fly dates are published on the website and occur monthly during the flying season. You do not need to be a member of the Prop Busters to join us, however you do need a $25 park permit that you can obtain directly through Shelby Farms. Just tell them you want to join us and fly off of the lake and they will handle it from there! The float flys are always free and are usually from 8am to noon.

When you arrive you can pull through the gate and park in the parking lot next to the service building. We usually set up under the large shade tree next to the water. You'll need to bring your own chairs as there are no facilities, but the club does provide a retrieval boat. The shore of the lake is smooth and gentle so launching and recovering your airplane is easy.
